About Me
"I have come to respect how a woman’s body conceives, grows, protects and births a thriving healthy baby."
- Kari

Hello my name is Kari, I wanted to share with you a little about who I am. I married my high school sweetheart and I am thrilled to say we just celebrated 29 years of marriage! We have been blessed with 4 beautiful children who are grown(ing) up very quickly. I have had the privilege of being home with them all since birth and have been a part of all of their various stages.
I have been the bookkeeper for my husband's construction company over the past 16 years. We make a great team. I have a passion for drawing and designing houses and my husband brings the muscle, brains and talent in to turn my drawings and ideas into beautiful realities. We have built 5 houses together in the midst of raising our family over the years. Other things I enjoy doing are gardening, cooking, baking, swimming, fishing, laughing, and family vacations. Christmas is my favorite time of year as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, fill the house with music, decorations, delicious food and especially family and friends.
I took my birth and postpartum doula training in the fall of 2019. My passion for this started when I had the privilege of being invited into the birthing room (twice) with my sister, my friend (three times), and my sister in law (once). Along with having our own 4 children, it was the most incredible experience. Struck with awe to see the miracle of life unfold in front of my own eyes and to be able to support and encourage these women through it. It lit a fire in my heart. I never imagined that I would be able to live this dream. Now as my children are getting bigger and we are in a different season of life, I am thrilled to begin a new journey to support women and their families in one of life's most memorable moments. I have enjoyed the training, education and continued self learning and now have completed my certification process with DONA international (for both Birth and Postpartum support).
I have come to respect how a woman’s body conceives, grows, protects and births a thriving healthy baby. It is truly incredible to see the courage, strength and endurance a woman draws from through the stages of labor and birth.
